Halifax Show would not be what it is today without the armies of support we get from local groups, organisations, businesses and individuals. The show team relies on over a hundred stewards and assistants setting things up, moving this around, taking things down, running competitions, judging, clearing litter, and much more – all jobs that often go unseen, but are vital to the smooth running of the weekend. Thank you.

Northern independent school of the year – The Sunday Times. Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important things a parent does. Such choices are made with both head and heart. At BGS we want to help you to make the right decision. Bradford Grammar is in a good place, combining strong academic performance with a caring culture that encourages all students to excel in their chosen field, both within and outside the classroom. The school explicitly puts pupils’ happiness at the centre of what it does. In an age of growing fears about the pressures put on children to succeed.

Halifax Show is set up across the full week leading up to the Saturday of show day – and any assistance is appreciated. From marking the field out for the stalls and attractions to assembling the barriers and gates; from laying out the marquees to tidying across the showground.
On show day itself the show team relies on over a hundred volunteers from 7am to 7pm to help with the smooth running over the show. This includes directing traffic, helping with parking, helping with competitions, managing visitors, and – all jobs that are often unseen but are vital to a successful show.
We also appreciate as much fresh-leg help as possible on Sunday to help the big tidy up. It might have taken a week to put together, and despite the show team being on their feet all day Saturday, everything must be taken down and packed away – an often forgotten about task, that must be done before Monday.
